Birmingham, AL, October 25, 2026 —
Washington’s week ahead is set to include three prominent developments: President Trump’s final campaign push before Election Day on November 3, a Federal Reserve decision on interest rates, and a court status conference in the case of the person accused of shooting at the White House Correspondents Association Dinner.
The campaign activity comes in the final stretch before the election. The available information does not specify where Trump is scheduled to campaign, what events he plans to attend, or what issues he intends to emphasize. It also does not provide details about the election beyond the November 3 date.
The Federal Reserve is expected to make an interest-rate decision during the week. The information provided does not state when the decision will be announced, what action policymakers are considering, or what factors they will cite. No outcome should be assumed before the announcement.
A court status conference is also scheduled in the case involving the accused shooter at the White House Correspondents Association Dinner. The conference is a procedural event, but details about the court, the accused person, the charges, and the purpose or expected outcome of the hearing were not provided. The accusation remains an allegation; no information about a finding of guilt was included.
Together, the events put electoral politics, monetary policy and a criminal court proceeding on Washington’s agenda. Further specifics—including campaign stops, the Federal Reserve’s decision and any developments in the court case—were not included in the information available for this report.
